Vehicle Selection

As an example of our commitment, consider or approach to the selection of vehicles comprising our fleet.

As part of our experimental ultra low carbon emission programme, and after months of research, we opted for the very latest Mercedes 3.5 tonne Sprinter Euro 5 diesel engined vehicles that delivers significant carbon emissions savings.

Upon delivery, the new vehicles are then sent to Connaught Engineering in Llanelli where they have the electric hybrid unit fitted. This gives us a further 18-20% saving on Carbon emissions.

With the exception of fully electric vehicle technology already employed in our fleet, these latest additions should be the greenest practical option available. As part of Eco’s ULCEP (ultra low carbon emission programme) fuel consumption is closely monitored giving data which in turn allows calculation of Carbon emissions.
